ColemanRechargeable CPX6 BatteryBy: John Ronald Totman on 20 June 2018This is an excellent addition for the Coleman Lantern that I purchased 14 months ago. I must admit, I had previously purchased this same battery, but it had failed to accept charge, hence the most recent purchase. The Coleman name is known for quality, I was very surprised when the first battery failed, otherwise I wouldnt have purchased another battery. The new battery charged fully within 30-45 minutes, it has provided a long duration alternative to the D Cell Batteries that I had previously used.
Great Escape Camping Response
Thanks for the review John. With these battery packs the best way for longevity is for a full overnight charge for it's first use, then every 3 months put them on the charger again to avoid them getting to a too low a voltage to the point that they won't recharge again.
Cheaper in the long run.By: Jim on 2 May 2018I bought this battery pack for a CPX-6 compatible Coleman LED lantern and also to be able to use it for other products in the CPX-6 range. It seems well made and able to stand a bit of bumping around in the back of a ute or 4WD. I like that it comes with a 12 volt lead to be able to recharge it from the vehicle lighter socket so on an extended camp it will always be charged up ready for another nights lighting or pumping up air beds when plugged into a CPX-6 air pump or running a CPX-6 tent fan on warm nights, just swap it in and out as needed. All in all a very handy battery pack that will pay for itself very quickly as D batteries are not cheap at all and don't last long either. I'm very happy with the battery pack and the price I got it for.
